Revenge of the Sith 05-May-2019

That was a most enjoyable troop with the 501st UK Garrison and R2 Builders.

It was great to see both old and new faces. It was equally as great to get out in IN, IC and TI. Three costumes, sorted!

The Blues Harvest band were fantastic. I couldn’t help but sing along under my helmet and tap a toe in my Knobelbechers.

Next troop with the UK Garrison is Return of the Garrison, again at the National Space Centre. But before that a Cyberman shoot and background cast for a Doctor Who spinoff. Busy, busy!

Revenge of the Fifth @ NSC

Flight preparations are underway for the deployment to the National Space Centre for the Revenge of the Fifth event.

The event is to celebrate the annual Star Wars Day of May The Fourth (Be With You).

It’s looking to be a well attended event, with plenty of interesting and different things to do….

ModelKraft 2019

We had a fantastic day at ModelKraft this year. The 501st UK Garrison were invited again to add ambiance to show and to help collect funds for Willen Hospice.

Greg looked after us yet again with extreme enthusiasm. Thanks mate!

This year we had the presence of Lord Darth Vader himself. Fortunately Lord Vader was in a good mood and there were no light-sabres wielded.

We also had a really cheeky R2 unit called R2-TK, which when I say cheeky, I really mean cheeky. The environment was nothing short of excellent for our little R2.

The final fund count is not in yet, but here are a few photos taken by Richard Pearn and Greg Hayes on the day.
